Hey, I know it's been a while, but I'm back. I am going to try to start writing K Anything posts once a month again. It seems like every year we are able to make one thing, and usually that thing isn't done until December. In 2010, we made business cards. In 2011, we made the website. In 2012, we made the brochures. In 2013, we made the promo video. One thing a year might not sound like much, but I am happy with what we've done. I don't know if we will make anything new this year besides juggling routines. However, the idea of a DKers' t-shirt has been thrown out there. I came up with this design based on our Themes Show. Let me know what you think of the design. And even more importantly, would anyone out there actually be interested in a DKers t-shirt?. I have bigger versions of the designs after the read more link.

Well, I missed putting up a blog post for December, and January is already over half way finished, so I figured I needed to post something. I feel like I've gotten off to a slow start to the year juggling wise. I have lots of little goals, but haven't made the time to do much. Most of my goals involve making/altering props. Also this year I am going to try and learn a Trick of the Month and post a video of of it on here. Progress on January's trick is limited, but hopefully I have something to post in two weeks. I always like to have something interesting to show off in these posts, so I figured I would show our new brochures. After our photo shoot from Brooke Courtney Photography, we ended up with a lot of great pictures, so we wanted to do something with them. I designed this brochure and modified it numurous times to meet D's high standards. Now all I need to do is find a place to print them up. Contact me if you know of a good place to get brochures printed.
Sorry, it has been so long since I have posted anything on here. It has been a crazy summer. Darren and I have had more shows than ever before. We had five in July and have five more coming up in September. Also, I was juggling at Hersheypark six days a week, so that is a lot of juggling for one summer. Even though I neglected this blog, we did make time to finally have our photo shoot. Back in 2011, we won a free photo shoot with Brooke Courtney Photography. It took us over a year to schedule it, and luckily it didn’t expire.
The photo shoot was a lot of fun. I was only told to focus on what I was doing with my face once. Also, they were very open to all our ideas. Some of these ideas worked better than others, but I will let you come to your own conclusions. There are 97 pictures, so we probably won’t post all of them. However, we should be posting a few on this site as well as our Facebook. If you have any favorites or suggestions of things to do with a particular picture, let us know. Here is a link to the online gallery. The password to get on it is DK2012 Every June there is a juggling convention at Kutztown called June Jugglefest. Last year I found out that they have a contest to design the T-shirt. The only prize you get for winning is a free shirt, but I still thought it would be cool to have my T-shirt chosen. Anyway, I made two designs. The first one is a superhero theme because I like superheroes. The second one is a Olympic theme to go with the upcoming Summer Olympics. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is going to be a Jugglefest this year, so the T-shirts will probably never be made. Here are my two designs. I like the Olympics one better, but what do you think? Click the pictures to enlarge them. |
