The two questions I tend to judge juggling performances by are, "Is there some thing new?" and "Is there something I want to try?" I also always like things that are music based. With those things in mind here are some of my favorite videos.
A) Michael Karas is my favorite juggler on youtube. I really want to try out some of the tricks from his newest video "Gravity". He used my helium balloon idea, but I wish that he would have figured out more things to do with it. You could also check out the "Chopped and Screwed" video he is in if you would like to see more of a story with a routine.
B) In a similar vein, I recently saw this club video. It is very music based and only deals with three objects for most of the time. There are so many cool bits. I really like when the clubs roll off the body or the other clubs, even though I can't really do many of those types of tricks.
C) I always like partner things. This routine has a ton of tricks that look simple, but I have never seen anywhere else. I especially like the two person box and pretty much anything with two people and five balls.
D) This will always be amazing. My favorite part is that it looks like it is so easy for him. In my mind, he never practices this, but he gets it right every time. He could trip over his shoelace and if a ball was behind him he'd land on his feet. I don't know how accurate that is, but either way I don't know if I will ever work up the nerve to actually try this.
I don't want to put too many videos up here, but I may do this again during a busy month. This was a really easy way to do a blog post. Don't worry though I already have a plan for December's post.
